Platform as a service

Railway

A deployment platform: connect a GitHub repository or Dockerfile and Railway builds and runs it, with logs, environment variables and managed databases. Usage-based pricing, so check how always-on services add up.

How to choose

If your bot only answers webhooks, a serverless platform may be cheaper. If it keeps a gateway connection open (Discord, Slack Socket Mode), you need an always-on process: a platform like Railway is quicker to set up, while a VPS like Vultr gives more control for a fixed monthly price.
